  1. Shark fishing is sport that many people enjoy. The thrill of hooking up to a fish that is larger than the person on the other end of the line is an amazing feeling. What most people don’t know is that shark fishing is generally catch and release. I personally shark fish a few days a week and know a majority of the people who enjoy the same sport around Florida. Out of all the people I know that enjoy the thrill of shark fishing none of them kill for no reason. The only sharks that don’t get released are the ones that are for food. Large sharks have a nasty taste so they get released. I do not know anyone that kills them for trophies. The only time I see the jaws taken out for a trophy is when the fish does not make it in alive or if the fish is going to be cleaned and cooked. PETA seems to think that all the sharks that are caught are killed in some brutal manner. Which is completely incorrect. Most of the fish are not injured during this process. There are people trying to promote bans on shark fishing.
