    One leafy, green vegetable that is good for you is Kohtrabi. This vegetable is a member of the cabbage family. It is rich in fiber and vitamin C and works well to protect you from cancer. Then, there are mustard greens. This comes from the mustard plant, Brassica juncea and it works well in spicing up a meal because it has a delicious peppery taste that adds great flavor to various meals. This vegetable has nine vitamins, seven minerals and vitamins A, C and E.

    Bok Choy is a member of the cabbage family and has a mild, crisp texture and does well when it is stir fried. Some say that it is best to choose leaves thatare crisp and green and not yellowed.

    Dark green vegetables are good for our health because of the wonderful vitamins that are in them, the fiber and also the phytonutrients. This substance are found in all plants and are quite nutritious. Research has shown that a person should eat at least five servings of dark, green vegetables and fruits everyday to ensure that their immune system stays high and healthy. With the many ways dark, green vegetables can be served: in salads, boiled or served with other nutritious foods, you can’t go wrong with these kinds of vegetables and you may ward off diseases such as cancer and heart disease.
