I have studied Educational studies as well as Human services with a minor in Psychology. I have a Masters in Education specializing in Children's literature that progressed to a Post masters certificate in College teaching in hopes that I could teach a college level course in Children's literature and that lead me to enrolling in a doctorate program in Reading and literacy that is just about on the verge of finishing.

I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 13 years in a geriatric psychiatric unit performing basic nursing duties, medication administration as well as activity groups that lead me to wanting to learn about social work and counseling and various therapeutic modalities like art, music and play therapy. I graduated from a one-year practical nursing program.

In these two areas to begin with is I really like to read all types of books especially historical fiction and children's literature. I have written, yet unpublished, several poetry and tongue twister books for all ages. I have even written and tried to illustrate a few children's picture books yet unpublished. I am still working on these projects at the current time and researching other ideas.
