Herb-and-so-called-weeds

I have been growing herbs and in weeds for 40 years. Using them in cooking and as a alterative to what medicine's I used to treat Fibromyalgia. I grew up in rural North Carolina, where I was a Hippy, weed lover and tree hugger at a very young age and still to this day. I love roaming in the woods and fields in different location when I travel and had an occasion to visit my daughter in Australia. I enjoyed seeing the many different plants, weeds and trees in this amazing country. So much to see, so little time. Weeds are what most call the pesky plants that grow in our yards and fields. But these weeds have so much to offer us. For example, Dandelion, is one plant that drives a lot of homeowners to look for crazy way to remove them from their yards. But these plants have so much to offer. The leaves are a tonic to the kidneys, a diuretics. The whole plant, especially the root, is a detoxifying tonic for the liver, and can be used as a digestive stimulant also. Another is Plantain, also a so called weed. Increases the speed of healing, it also relieves pain, stops bleeding, draws out foreign matter, stops itching, prevents and stops allergic reactions from bee stings, kills bacteria, and reduces swelling. There is so many plants that have health benefits, most are free and right outside your door. If you decide to use herbs and plants as a healthier alterative , check with your doctor if you are on prescription medications. Some herbs and wild plants could interfere with your meds potency.
