First, let me address the other answers. The first two guys have the wrong definition of materialism. Materialism has 2 related but different definitions, and in this case we are not talking about the one that involves people being obsessed with money and things. I agree with the 3rd guy, you should question everything! As for the materialistic box: it has a major limitation. It is unable to account for the reasons why our perceptions are the way they are. Is it as simple as saying “God made us that way?” Probably not. However, matter is unable to explain the organization of matter (it has no intelligence). Therefore, matter cannot be the only element in Science. It takes the perception and thought of the scientist to draw conclusions towards figuring out how matter is organized, or how two material things are related to each other.
