Are bridesmaid dresses worn again?

I have a total of 5 bridesmaid dresses in my closet and have NEVER thought of wearing them again. This 5 does not include the 2 that I gave away for proms. I think they’re a terrible waste of money and if the Bride really wants her brides maids to look worse than her on her big day, make them walk the isle in a garbage bag, atleast it could be used afterwards. I plan to have a very small and simple wedding, big weddings are such a waste, all that money saved can be spent on the honeymoon or setting up house, and you won’t break your friends bank accounts in order for them to take part in your big day.
