Are Canadians legally allowed to live in New Zealand?

0

As a Canadian you have no easier or harder entry than anyone from any other country (that has a good relationship with New Zealand) that applies. You certainly don’t have an automatic right to live there. But you if pass the immigration requirements and are admitted as a permanent resident then yes you can legally stay there. Being a member of the commonwealth doesn’t give you any special privileges though. note: Australians are the one exception to this. New Zealand and Australia practically have a free movement policy on immigration between their two countries (much like you might expect between Canada and the US). The only restrictions between the two countries being health and character requirements.
