Are increases in FOS levies expected for firms in 2007/08?

0

The overall general levy has increased; however the level of increase varies considerably between industry blocks so that some firms may find that the amount of levy they pay in 2007/08 is less than in 2006/07. The industry blocks where the largest increases in the levy are proposed are Block 1 (banks, building societies and mortgage lenders) and Block 4 (life insurers) where there are expected to be increases in the proportion of complaints against firms in the block. However it is estimated that 85% of firms will pay only the minimum annual fee for their FOS industry block.
