Are Republicans more Christian than Democrats?
Absolutely not! First of all, a real Christian does not judge people. We realize that only God can pass judgement. Secondly, Republicans talk about how they don’t want to pay taxes so they want to take money away from poor people, seniors, children, and disabled people so that they can have more money in their pockets. That is not Christian. Republicans try to justify this view by saying that people should voluntarily give to the poor, but we are seeing in the current bad economy that people are going hungry because people are not giving enough money to food banks. If it were not for food stamps, these same people would be starving to death! And why don’t they want to provide help to people? So they can buy cars and houses that are too big! Materialism is not a Christian value! I’ve been seeing a bumper sticker lately that says “The car means nothing–my treasure is in heaven.” Well–no, not for you it isn’t! The Amerikan brand of Fascist Christianity has nothing to do with the message of peace and love which Lord Jesus preached; however, given the twisted US version of his message; the Republicans win hands down. The message of true Christianity has nothing to do with politics; it is not a call to arms; it is a call to the heart of human kindness and compassion.
