Are Salmon family members still involved?
A. Yes! We have always been family owned and operated. In 1952, Daniel Salmon, Sr., and his wife Helen purchased the Adora Restaurant in Northborough and converted it to a nursing home. The Salmon family members have been active participants ever since. In the mid-1960s, Daniel Salmon, Jr., and his wife Dorothy (both RNs) took over, and soon began the expansion which now comprises 17 companies on five campuses and more than 1,000 employees. Today, the third generation is involved. Kate Salmon-Robinson is the company’s Vice-President and Director of Marketing Communications and Community Relations; Matt Salmon is Vice President of Programs, Quality and Innovation; Andrew Salmon is the Executive Director of the Northbridge campus; Kate’s husband Jeff Robinson is Managing Partner of Continuing Care Management, LLC; and Matt’s wife Kim Malloy-Salmon is the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
