Are the Indian pitches ruining Test Cricket?

No, the home team should always have the final say. Though I do feel India need to start producing more bouncy pitches to familiarize players with overseas conditions. But the host team should always have the right to make pitches suited to their style of play. The Mohali pitch in the previous match did produce a result and it was one of the best test matches ever. There is nothing wrong in playing for a draw, if your team is up 1-0 in the series and there is only 1 match to go I’d rather play defensively and win the series than play recklessly to entertain the crowd and give the opponents a chance of leveling it. It certainly is boring for the viewers but if you want result oriented cricket, that’s what ODI’s and T20’s are there for.
