Are there variations in national laws concerning PPE?
In each Member State of the European Union, national legislation transposes the PPE Directive. However, this legislation is adopted under the so-called “complete harmonisation” regime. In other words, the PPE Directive is transposed in the same way in all the countries of the European Union (and European Economical Area). PPE must therefore comply with the essential health & safety requirements and related certification procedures as described in the modified PPE Directive.
