Can a female blue gourami and a male pink kissing gourami cross breed?

Answer Hello Kristen. Sadly you cannot breed them together. The Blue Gourami include the three-spot, Cosby, Stafford, opaline, gold, purple, amethyst, lavender, and platinum gouramis. Theyre all the same species (T. trichopterus) and all breed together. This group consists of the easiest and most reliable spawners of all the gouramis. The Kissing Gourami is (Helostoma temmincki) and breeding Kissing Gourami on its own is very difficult in comparison to the other species. Also the Kissing Gourami get to be a lot more aggressive than the other Gourami species so make sure no other fish are being bullied if you have any. Good luck!
