Can high cholesterol level in blood cause sudden rapid heart rate?
As an ER RN I must be honest…we don’t usually see a rapid heart rate associated with high cholesterol. It’s usually~~esp in women~~associated with stress or perimenopause (the beginnings as far as 7-10 yrs out)…like age 35-45, but STRESS in your life and being the doer for all and none for yourself. May sound ODD, but when a woman comes in with rapid heart rate or palpitations and no chest pain, I start asking about hobbies or what she does for FUN. I’d may sure you see your MD for a full cardiac labs nd treadmill work-up, but what I wrote about is usually a major issue in the equation.
