Can I get the Eurostar from the UK to France with only 2 months left on my passport?
Some countries such as the US require that your passport have at least 6 months validity. South Africa, requires that you have at least 2 blank pages. This isn’t normally the case within the EU (for EU residents) where a passport is valid until it has expired. According to the British Embassy in their advice when travelling to France: “All British passport holders require a valid passport. There is no minimum passport validity requirement but you should ensure that your passport is valid for the proposed period of your stay.” If a passport expires when you are in France, they will let you travel back to the UK, but not to any other country. However this isn´t advisable, as they will probably ask you lots of questions and you might get delayed.
