Yes it can. Nintendo DS games will work for the DS, DS Lite and DSi. There are no games on the market that are JUST for the DSi. All of the games JUST for the DSi can only be downloaded from the DS Shop. You’ve got nothing to worry about. All your old DS games will work on the DSi.
