Can Zombies be real?

The “28 Days Later” scenario is terrifyingly possible. That movie shows, essentially, what an uncontrolled outbreak of a slightly modified Ebola virus would look like. If you read the back-story of the Resident Evil games, it talks about Ebola as one of the main ingredients in “T-virus”. The book _The Hot Zone_ is a gripping novel about this all-too-real prospect. The government would like you to keep consuming and believe they’ve got disease under control. But what about this outbreak of deadly bacteria we’ve been hearing about lately? I’ll bet this new bacterium was created, at least inadvertently, by human selection in the hospital, where diseases have been known to mutate and evolve into stronger forms in response to the harsh environment. Yes, they can be real; it’s scary how real they can be.
