Misconception: A true sentence can be formed which begins with the subject “Atheists…” and proceeds to a generalization which goes beyond “…do not believe in god” or any other sort of predicate which is true by definition. Atheism is NOT equivalent to religions, they have no creed, no dogma, and no necessary similarities beyond lack of belief in god. Atheism does NOT entail Scientism, as your question claims. In fact, it must be stressed that Atheism has NO positive content, it is simply a lack of belief in god, nothing more.
