Do Frozen Paintballs Hurt?
Do Frozen Paintballs Hurt?Answer: Frozen paintballs hurt as much as regular paintballs. Despite long-standing myths to the contrary, putting paintballs in the freezer does not make them hurt more than regular paintballs. Paintballs in the freezer become dimpled and warped. The “paint” in paintballs does not freeze but becomes more gooey and thick. The shells become very brittle and are more likely to break than a normal paintball – they often break in the barrel and make a mess of the gun that shoots them. One other major issue of freezing paintballs is that they cause water in the air to condensate on the paintballs which causes the paintballs to swell and break in the hopper. Putting paintballs in a normal freezer will hurt performance and will give the player no competitive advantage.
