Do vermin live in lofts?
Yes, vermin do live in lofts. We live in a very old cottage and we had exactly what you described, scrabbling in the loft. We rang our local council offices and was told it was probably birds but we weren’t happy with their answer so we rang Rentokill who advised us to buy some plug in rat/mice deterrents, you can get them from any DIY shop and we haven’t heard a thing since (1 year) they cost about £25 for 4 but they are worth every penny.
Yes they do live in lofts. They usually come into mine when the weather turns cold. I keep 6 mousetraps primed at all times and average 2 a week in winter. I also put poison up there and that reduces the numbers as well. As soon as the weather warms up they go. The pest control officer will only tell you to do the same. In the summer get into the loft and plug up any holes that come through from the cavity wall as this is how they get in from ground level. Deal with it soon as they multiply at a tremendous rate. That is why you are now hearing them.
yes vermin live everywhere in lofts underfloor boards and in the cavities of walls .if i was you i would just get someone to go up to the loft and just put down traps and also there is a thing called the pest ex with you plug in the wall this lets out high pitch noise which frighten mice and rats away as they are afraid of the noise
