Do we benchmark financial indicators or cost effectiveness measures against other relevant organisations?
Yes we do. We look to compare what we are doing with other relevant organisations all the time. At our planning conference in September 2005 in front of 200 staff we had an external presentation of a broad range of indicators comparing our performance against that of other higher education institutions. A number of our services – for example IT Services – compare their unit costs with external organisations as part of their business planning.
