Does a mammogram hurt that bad?
Heya It isn’t surprising that women worry about whether a mammogram will hurt. For some women it is just uncomfortable. But it really depends on your breast size and pain threshold. Other women do feel some pain. But it only lasts while you are having the test, so it is only a few moments. The person doing the exam will make you as comfortable as possible during the examination dont worry it will be absolutely fine i promise you. If you want some support you are allowed to take a friend with you, that will relax you a bit more aswell. Yes it is true they flatten your breasts so they can get a better picture but i wouldnt go as far as to say like a ‘pancake’. I would say go its not as bad i promise you, take a friend to support you and i wish you all the best.
