Does Medicare cover pulmonary rehabilitation?
A. Pulmonary rehab, as a complete program like cardiac rehab is not a covered service. Medicare will cover for pulmonary rehab and endurance exercises. The services must be ordered by a physician, reasonable and necessary for the individualized treatment of the patients condition, and must be re-certified by the physician every 30 days.
