Does Sportscaster Bob Costas wear a toupee frequently?
I’m headed out of town for a few days, so I’m throwing some shot-item chum on the comment water this morning. The hair of NBC’s main Olympics achor Bob Costas, 56, has been the subject of critical jibber jabber for at least two Olympiads, judging from the archives. But this year his mop is more remarkable than ever — appearing monochromatic ad/or synthetic, at least on my low-def TV. I attribute this not to excessive vanity — there’s nothing wrong with coloring one’s hair or wearing a toupee, if that’s what he’s doing — but to insufficient vanity. Whatever he’s doing or not doing, he doesn’t seem to be taking enough time or spending enough money to get his `do night.
