How are the criminal history background check results received?
Results are sent to Authorized Persons electronically through CHITS. In addition, if the applicant has a criminal history, OMH will also give the provider a written determination that includes a summary of the applicants criminal history.If OMHs determination is to deny the application from further consideration by the provider, the provider must notify the applicant that his or her criminal history is the basis of the denial. The provider must also advise the applicant that he or she can obtain the criminal history summary from the provider by submitting a written request to the provider for a copy of the summary.
