How can I tell if he likes me?

Asks him if he likes you back, maybe your actions are not showing him that you do like him. Also he is probably just insecure about certain things and is afraid to put himself out there too much because of rejection. Make sure you show him that you appreciate the little love things that he does do and dont focus on the negative cuz it could just be insecurity.
