You’re right on both counts. You must be bitten by one, so that it can suck your blood and replace it with the disease, like a mosquito does. That is how you become a vampire.

First off, you don’t want to be a vampire.None of what hollywood partrays them to be is true, besides the need to drink blood or feed off of auras.Second, it is impossible to be turned (To my knowledge) into a vampire.
