How can the snow forecast for Mt Hotham differ so greatly from every other resort?
Forecasting for the resorts takes into account the height and position of the resort compared to the direction the (potential) snow bearing system is coming from and the height above sea-level at which the air temperature is/will be zero. Looking at the current forecasts for the resorts Mt Hotham is essentially the same as Mt Buller but they both differ from Mt Baw Baw and the NSW resorts due to their exposure being different.
