How dangerous are wolves?
Wolves are not very dangerous to people at all. It has been observed that a wolf will not eat meat it hasn’t seen another wolf eat before, and will only try new meat if it is desperate enough for food. Wolves can be a threat to farm animals, but this is usually only when a wolf sees a more experienced wolf hunting and eating them. Wolves most likely got their reputation of killing and eating people from a time in Europe, when many battles took place and human bodies littered the ground. Once a hungry wolf pack scavenged from the bodies, they would from then on, see humans as prey. Nowadays, however, wolf attacks are almost non-existant. Since European settlers moved to North America, there have been no recorded wolf attacks.
