Student Org is dedicated to the coalition building and collaborative process inherent in the social work profession. To that end, the governing body serves as a bridge facilitating communication between the general membership (the student body) and the faculty, administration, and student groups.

Elections for the offices of Student Org take place during the 5th week of the first term of summer. New officers take over for the second term throughout the winter, spring and first term of the next summer. Some positions require two year terms of service.
