How do I get started to designing my chuppah?
The wedding is known as Chuppah, named after a decorated piece of cloth formed as a canopy with four poles, symbolic of a new home for the couple. It is wedding day and all the guests start coming in wearing their choicest selection of dresses. Yarmulkes for the male guests are arranged. Yarmulkes are skull caps worn by male members of the Jewish society during prayer or occasions like weddings, bar mitzvah, etc.
Decide if you want to put a lot of work into reasearch yourself, or if you want us to help you along the way. Once you make up your mind, whether you submit a sketch or you will work with our suggestion, we can get started. Q: Are you Shomer Shabbat? A: Yes, we observe Shabbat and do not work on chuppot on Shabbat or Yom Tov. Q: Do you also supply chuppah poles? A: We do not supply chuppah poles. However, most florists can match your chuppah with poles or build a platform that can be decorated with flowers and chiffon according to your wishes. Q: In what sizes do the chuppot come? A: Our chuppot are made of fine hand-painted silk, supported by a matching light-weigth cotton fabic. They can be made in custom sizes, shapes and forms. However please keep in mind that the silk we are using only comes in a maximum width of 1,40m (55 inches) since it has to be framed to be handpainted. Please refer to the price overview page for more information.
