How Do You Clean No Wax Vinyl Floors?
No-wax vinyl floors are just what they claim to be. They are coated with a substance that makes them look like they have been freshly waxed. Most of the time, you just need to clean them with a mop that has been soaked in clean, hot water. There will be occasions, though, that you need to use something with a little more “oomph” to it. Be careful what you choose, because some cleaners will leave the floor sticky or with a film over the shine, which negates the reason you have no-wax floors in the first place. Vacuum or sweep your floor thoroughly to pick up all the loose dirt and dust. Mop the floor with a sponge mop, a string mop or a cloth on your hands and knees using only hot water. Use a little baking soda–about 1/4 cup–mixed into a gallon of hot water if Step 2 didn’t get it clean enough for you. Or use a little Murphy’s Oil Soap.
