Bring 3 gallons of water to a rolling boil. Let it boil for a couple of minutes. Go out on a nice, sunny day, when the ants are most active, and pour the boiling water slowly onto the ant mound. Collapse as much of the mound as possible while pouring the water. This will kill the ants, their larvae and their stored food instantly, but if the queen isn’t killed, the colony won’t be destroyed. Get a 3-foot reinforcement bar and use it to make a hole to the bottom of the ant mound. Drop a piece of dry ice into the mound. Push the dry ice to the bottom of the mound by using the rebar.
