One set screw is located on each side of the knob on one side of the door only. Remove these set screws by turning them counterclockwise. The set screw only has threads on the first inch of the screw; once you see the screw change to a smooth bolt-like appearance, pinch the screw between your thumb and forefinger and draw it out of the door knob set.
