How Do You Store A Therm-A-Rest?
Therm-A-Rest mattresses are available in several styles and thicknesses. Some are designed as a lightweight backpacking sleeping pad, while others are better suited for car camping or lounging on the beach. Each type of mattress has its own best storage method to increase the pad’s longevity. Deflate the Therm-A-Rest by opening the valve and pressing down on the fabric to release the air. Roll the mattress up tight, starting from the end with the shorter length. Use a Velcro strap to keep it tight. Store inside a stuff sack to protect the fabric from damage during storage and keep the valve open. Dry the mattress before storing by keeping it in an open room or outside briefly in the sun. Open the valve and keep the mattress unrolled and flat. Place the Therm-A-Rest in a spot where it won’t get damaged and can remain unrolled.
