How does an egg laying species evolve into a mammal baring species?..?
‘In my opinion an egg laying species cannot evolve into a mammal baring species without the transition being instantaneous in one pregnancy’…. and what qualifications in biology do you have i suspect 0. Under what premise do you decide that your opinion is correct over just about EVERY respected biologist in the world. I have only basic qualification in biology (A* GCSE) and i don’t want to try and offer you a detailed explanation. but i am fascinated to how you decided that the transition must take place in one pregnancy, you have instantly placed a constraint on the question which makes it impossible to answer. Evolution is all about GRADUAL change, gradually egg laying animals began to lay thinner and thinner shells because it was the best adaption to environment then the shell dissappeared altogether or may have just came out as fragments.
