It really depends on the type of birth control. Some will stop the egg from being taken in to he fallopian tube while some others just kill the sperm. My best advice is look into the one you may want to take and find out exactly what it does. There are all kinds of websites out there telling you how successful some are. Best combo I’ve seen and studied so far has been birth control pill(as long as you’re not allergic to it) and using a condom. With the 2 of these in use the odds of getting pregnant are approx. 1%. Not to mention the pill will put your period on a specific schedule. BEST OF LUCK!
