A. You must first be active-duty Navy. Most of the junior crewmembers onboard the ship today were hand-chosen while still in boot camp in Great Lakes, IL. All of the fleet returnees had to ask their detailers to be released to the “shore special programs”, and if eligible, request USS Constitution. Also, one must not be afraid of heights.
