How does the GP search function work?
Entering anything in the first search field of the advanced search (or the single field in the simple search) will find matching Green Pages entries. Matching entries are those where the entered search criteria string is found anywhere in the name, business name, description, members first or last name, city or zip code of the listing. Anywhere means that if the characters of the criteria are found anywhere in these fields, containing the search string with any other or no characters before or after the listing would be found, too. Additionally the found listings will need to match any of the other entered criteria in the respective fields of the listing, whereby the city criteria finds also a matching string that is contained in the city. The zip code criteria finds all listings that match the given digits (left to right) for the zip code. So for example, if entering “straw” in the first search field, matches would also be found if a business name has the word “straw” in it. Of course
