The closest McDonald’s fast food restaurant is about a mile from the parking lot of the former Dachau concentration camp. The ADL and other Jewish organizations protested when the owner of the McDonald’s franchise tried to capitalize on the numerous American tourists visiting the area by putting fliers on the windshields of cars parked in the Memorial Site parking lot, advertising his McDonald’s location.
