How important do you feel design and visual presentation is for a news website?
You know, as a new editor walks in, he has to immediately establish his worth and hence he quickly revamps the entire website and the presentation of content. But to be true, the reader doesn’t give a damn to what font you are using and what colour your homepage is. The reader is just concerned about what content you are providing to him. How has your experiment with Yahoo India blogs been so far? If you want to do curation, how do you do it? Blogging is basically curation and the only thing is that when it comes on different platforms, it gets a separate name. So, blogging is actually good ground training for curation. That was actually the idea behind launching blogs on Yahoo. We launched on June 3, 2010 and by the end of June we had more than 8 million page views. I have been blogging for ten years and I still don’t have that numbers. In July, the numbers rose to more than 10 million. We noticed that 393 posts had 37,563 comments – that’s about 100 comments per post on an average. W
