How is Jumpstart’s Read for the Record Campaign reaching low-income communities?
Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is not confined to those who purchase the special edition of the official campaign book; to participate in the record, children can use any version of the campaign book. Given this, Jumpstart is relying on its existing preschool partners, local libraries, and schools to reach low-income families and their children. Jumpstart and its partners have reached out on a broad scale to national library and school associates to encourage their involvement in the campaign. Jumpstart’s regional teams have done similar outreach on a local level (including outreach to our existing network of more than 300 preschool centers, all of which serve low-income families).
