How is Pilates different from Yoga and other types of exercise?
The most unique principle of Pilates is its constant focus on deep core and pelvic floor stabilization through all the exercises. It is a “mindful” practice that requires awareness and concentration using the breath as a primary component to the work. Pilates is a sequence of exercises meant to flow in a particular way, yet easily modified if necessary. It is limitless in its scope, low impact and incredibly successful at creating dynamic results for all kinds of people and body types.
