How is sick time calculated for a non-exempt (hourly-paid) employee?

0

Regular non-exempt (hourly-paid) employees accrue the equivalent of 12 days per year if they remain in pay status throughout the year. Sick time accruals carry over to the following year and accruals are unlimited. Sick time accrues each pay period on a fraction of an hour basis (.04616) for each hour paid excluding overtime related hours. Sick pay may be applied for as needed, and if approved, wages will be paid at the employee’s straight time rate and must not exceed the hours the employee would have normally worked. Please refer to the appropriate Sick Time Policy for more information.
