How is the new PC version of Green Globs & Graphing Equations different from the previous version?
The new version is written in Visual Basic 6, which is 32-bit, so you can use long file names. (Sound is restored, also.) The menu options and buttons from the previous version are still there. If you have experience using the previous version, you can use this version the same way. Screen displays that include a graphing grid now have a larger window size that uses most of a screen with 1024 by 768 resolution. Technically, the program assumes a DPI setting of “normal”, which is the default. (DPI is an advanced setting under the display option in the Control Panel. If you’re not familiar with it, your setting is probably “normal”.) There are some small changes (e.g., in Equation Grapher, you can now have up to ten graphs instead of five). The teacher’s manual has been revised. There is improved formatting on some of the student worksheets, but the content is the same as in the previous version.
