The word is colours and there are infinite variations of colour in a rainbow.

Generally 7. However a rainbow changes from Red to violet with a continual change of colours, loads of them.

There is 7 colour to the rainbow, although only 5 can be seen to the naked eye. The 2 you can’t see are Infra-red & Ultra-violet.
