Their brief marriage was a political one, and Henry seems never to have been attracted to her physically once he saw her in the flesh. Which is slightly ironic considering by then Henry was disgustingly obese and it is known that Henry suffered for many years from an ulcerated leg, basically an open rotting wound that never healed from a jousting accident 3 years earlier. Knowing the fate of other wives of Henry who resisted his marital whims, Anne did not resist when Henry wanted to annul the marriage, which was reportedly never consummated.
