From my experience you are going to want to go with a digital hygrometer as they are much more accurate. You can also add on something called humidity packs. These are made by a company called Boveda. You can buy packs that will keep your humidity inside the humidor at anywhere between 62-72%. Some cigars taste better with lower humidity but you can get away with a 70% pack for just about any type of cigar. You can also just go with a regular hydrater and be perfectly fine.
