How much is it to groom a shih tzu and how often do u have to?
I have a Shih Tzu and, as with any dog, you need to be prepared to spend a pretty decent amount of money on one. I pay 50 dollars each time I get him groomed [which is one of the cheapest places I have found, the only low priced place that does a thorough job]. Also keep in mind that most groomers expect a tip. If you keep their hair in a puppy cut, or any hair cut outside of the one used to show them professionally, you need to get it cut about every two months. As for other costs for the month, food and treats is pretty much all you’ll consistently need month to month. Oh, and things like heart worm medication [which isn’t too expensive]. I feed my little guy Natural Balance dog food, which is 12 dollars and the bag lasts about a month. I probably spend about $20 dollars a month on treats. Keep in mind that the first month you have a dog is going to be the most expensive. You’ll have to buy things like food dishes, a leash [and I recommend a harness as well, my dog is much better beh
