How often should nails be trimmed?

0

Nails should be cut every 4 weeks. Our house pets rarely walk on anything rougher than the carpet, so they have no way to wear down there nails naturally. If you take your dog out for long walks on the concrete it will file them down as they walk. Smaller breeds tend to have a problem with longer nails more than the larger breeds mainly do to activity levels. Also as your pet ages and becomes less active the nails will be worn down even less.
